Environment Art - Turning a Cliff into a vista prop using photogrammetry
This is a video tutorial presented on my channel
https://youtu.be/_WJLjOrzNsU
but in here I also share some source files used to create this tutorial so everyone who is interested can follow the process.
By buying this tutorial you get:
a video tutorial:
Environment Art - Turning a Cliff into a vista prop using photogrammetry
a ZIP archive
Cliff-RAW-Images-Captured_with_Mavic2Pro.zip
which contains 275 Images captured with the 'Mavic 2 Pro' drone which I used for Cliff reconstruction. The archive file hasalmost 10GB.
Please feel free to use these images however you want to in any project you want to.
2 SBAR materials I used in this video - a gravel and water surface
gb_gravel192.sbar (based on scan so its pretty heavy)
gb_water03.sbar (based on procedural material)
to help you bring some life to the scene a dog is also included :)
dog.fbx - a 3D model of dog
dog_eyes.sbar - material for dogs eyes
dog_fur.sbar - material for dogs body
Basically in this video I present a full photogrammetry workflow where I captured a cliff rock fromation and turned it into a vista prop using photogrammetry.
In details I show:
- cliff rock formation capture with the Mavic 2 Pro drone
- an image postprocessing with a different to usual way for ambient shadow removal in PhotoLab 3
- a full 3D reconstruction in Agisoft Metashape using new reconstruction mode
- building a new low poly topology in ZBrush
- UVmapping with the RizomUV
- texture baking with the Substance Designer
- fix for broken areas in Substance Painter
- and finally composing a quick scene in Marmoset Toolbag to present the result
I hope someone finds this tutorial interesting and useful
